YANOS's environmental program won the All-Russian competition
PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" won in the nomination "The best regional project in the field of environmental development"
On October 26th, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the II All-Russian competition for the selection of the best regional environmental practices "Reliable Partner - Ecology". The competition was organized by the Reliable Partner Association in cooperation with the Russian Ecological Society with the support of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Ministry of Energy, and the Moscow Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. This year it was held from January to October, it was attended by companies of various organizational and legal forms, regional authorities, municipal enterprises. In total, 274 applications in 24 nominations were submitted for participation in the competition organized to facilitate the implementation of the national project "Ecology".
"The program of environmental development of PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" for 2017-2020" marked by the expert council of the competition among the laureates. The program resulted in the production of environmentally friendly petroleum products and a decrease in the impact of production factors on the environment.
The number of successful environmental protection measures carried out by the enterprise in this period includes the construction of a unit for the utilization of hydrogen sulfide by the wet catalysis method, which made it possible to increase the production capacity of the enterprise without harming the environment; significant modernization of the flare gas compressor; reduction by 45% in the consumption of liquid fuel at process units; application of sealed shipment of oil products and equipping of tanks for their storage with pontoons.
Saving water resources is another area of activity of PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" for nature protection. The refinery has its own drinking water preparation station; over the past two years, thanks to optimization measures, its consumption has been halved. A closed system of recycling water supply was organized, due to the improvement of which, wastewater discharge was reduced by 188 thousand m3/year.
Separate waste collection with the extraction of useful components and subsequent processing is organized on the territory of the enterprise. In addition, in 2017-2019 PJSC “Slavneft-YANOS” has halved the amount of the earlier accumulated oil sludge and plans to complete their liquidation by 2024.
YANOS is an active participant in the Yaroslavl city complex target program “Reducing anthropogenic impact on the environment”. Measures are taken annually to monitor the condition, landscaping and lands design of the sanitary protection zone of the southern industrial hub of Yaroslavl which includes an oil refinery. Over the past three years, more than 450 trees have been planted in the industrial area with the participation of YANOS.
